enterprise. On this team, you'll have the opportunity to create and
develop advanced technology capabilities in the areas of advanced
electronics, autonomy, cyber, electronic warfare, and sensors and
processing.About the Role:Ready to make a difference? BAE Systems
is looking for Systems Engineering to work as part of a
cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to design, integrate,
debug, and test a novel Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV). Focused
on delivering innovative solutions. As a member of this team you
will:
- Lead a team through the systems design process including
conceptual development, physical design, support to procurement,
assembly, engineering test, debug, integration, and support of
product qualification.
- Lead systems requirements management from CONOPS through
production selloff
- Have a deep understanding of principles and concepts that
spread across all disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software)
and the ability to apply those principles to unique systems for the
underwater domain (UUVs, power systems, navigation systems, hull
structures)Develop test and verification strategies that help
minimize program cost and technical riskDesign test and validation
approaches to ensure the system fulfills its operational objectives
and stake-holder requirements in its intended operational
setting.Work with customer and program leadership to coordinate,
schedule, and ensure readiness to perform test eventsLead by
example and be willing to mentor, coach, train, guide, direct and
advise teammatesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical , Mechanical, Software, or
Systems Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience or Master's
Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or PhD in with 4 years
of relevant experience
- Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain SAP
- Ability to communicate and resolve challenging technical
problems across a multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve
common goals and implement solutions.
- Candidate shall also be able to work within a broader program
team and or supplier(s) writing Statements of Works (SOW) and
leading subcontractors
- Travel to remote locations and out to sea and is required
(10-25%)
- Able to maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance
with safety objectives and policies and rules that includes open
water testing.
- Experience with DOORs, Cameo (Magic-draw) and MATLABPreferred
Education, Experience, & Skills Ability to obtain a Top Secret
Clearance along with SAP & SCIPay InformationFull-Time Salary
Range: $126610 - $215270Please note: This range is based on our
market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined
by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
