Job Description:
A company is looking for an Insurance Verification and
Authorization Specialist - Physician Billing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage authorizations, insurance, and referrals for ambulatory
providers
Verify insurance information and manage referral processes
Resolve authorization denials by collaborating with providers and
billing teams
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
One year of post high school business or college course work
preferred
Two years of experience in pre-authorization, referral
coordination, or insurance billing
Graduate of a health vocational program such as Medical Assistant
or Medical Billing & Insurance with one year of healthcare
experience
Medical Terminology proficiency by examination
National Association of Healthcare Access Management Certification
(NAHAM) preferred
