Software Development Engineer to support our teams in Tewksbury,
Massachusetts. You will work within the Ground & Maritime Defense
Radar Software Department supporting the development of software on
our Ground and Maritime Radar Products. We strive for technical
excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base
covers the complete spectrum of modern languages and computing
platforms. What You Will Do:
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development
and testing of real-time embedded software, application software,
and tools, to include development of new work products or
enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software
solutions.
- Participate in internal review of software components and
systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals
within Engineering.
- Follow established development practices and processes to
maintain the configuration management of software
products.Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
(STEM).
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant
professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Experience with C++, C, Java or similar higher level
programming language.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software
design, operating systems, architectures, software development life
cycle and processes.
- Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including
ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn
new technologies and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work
effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing software in a team-based development
environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.

states to call "home."The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD
- 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
